hayden-blackHayden Black (Cyril/Writer/Creator/Director) - Hayden Black created, writes, produces & stars in the critically acclaimed online series Goodnight Burbank and its spin off “GNB: Hollywood Report“. Since launching the show in March ‘06, Hayden has single-handedly steered the series to great success, picking up multiple awards (including Best Web News Series), accolades (iTunes Best Podcast ‘06 & ‘07) and stellar reviews (LA Times). He’s also behind the groundbreaking Abigail’s Teen Diary (”cutting edge comedy” - Fortune, iTunes Best Podcast ‘07). He does it all through his production company Evil Global Corp. Hayden is from Manchester, England and moved to LA in the 90’s because he heard the streets were paved with Vimto. normNorm Thoeming (Harry) - Originally from Indianapolis, Norm Thoeming is an actor/writer/improviser living and working in Hollywood, CA. As well as having performed at many of the improv theaters around town, Norm is a co-founding performer in Los Angeles’ longest running improvised musical show Opening Night: The Improvised Musical! at the world famous iOWest. In addition, Norm has appeared (and will continue to appear) in television, film, internet, theater and commercial content for money, love and the love of money. Norm plays the saxophone, guitar and right handed bits of piano well enough to please his lovely wife. Having grown up a child of Spock, Kirk, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Buck Rodgers, Cylons, Doctor Who, Starbuck, Apollo and Wesley Crusher, Norm couldn’t be happier than to be sitting behind the dashboard of the Scarad 27. In addition, Norm has recently finished his first novel - which has absolutely nothing to do with sci-fi - but is both true and fun to say.

Nichelle Nichols (CJ) - When Nichelle was cast by Gene Roddenberry to create Chief Communications Officer Lt. Uhura - in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King - it became “The first non-stereotypical role portrayed by a black woman in television history.” Nichelle subsequently co-starred in 6 blockbuster Star Trek motion pictures and is still in constant demand to appear before millions of Trekkers around the world. She can also be seen as Nana on NBC’s Heroes. Nichelle was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992 and in 2004 was seleected as one of the International Human Rights Consortium’s Fete d’Excellence Laureates. She continues as a member of the Board of Governors of the National Space Society and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Space Camp. Of The Cabonauts, she says she’s ready to go “where no man or woman has gone before!” But then she would.

monicayoung_hs_buckmanMonica Young (Lolita) - Monica Young is a native of Kansas (no Dorothy jokes, please). Since moving to Los Angeles, she has appeared in commercials, webisodes, films, and TV shows including Ghost Whisperer, Boston Legal, The Starter Wife, Criminal Minds, Two and a Half Men, Days of Our Lives, indie film Airplane Disasters, and Goodnight Burbank. She is an accomplished singer/songwriter who opened for Toni Braxton in Las Vegas and sang on the single Come Together; a song for Hurricane Katrina relief featuring Celine Dion, Patti LaBelle, Natalie Cole, John Legend, Joss Stone, and many others.

the-cabonauts-miracle1 Miracle Laurie (Ep1 - Elsa) Miracle Laurie is originally from Huntington Beach, CA - part of the “OC” as it is referred to now.  She’s acted in theatre since the age of 7 and has her degree in Drama from U.C. Irvine.  She had her first piano lesson at the age of 5 and has been a polynesian dancer pretty much since she could walk.  She has been lucky enough to dance with such Hawaiian Greats as Bill Tapia and Rev. Dennis Kamakahi .  She modeled for a few years and even appeared on the cover of Teen Magazine.  A few years ago she and her man fell in love with the ukulele and formed Uke Box Heroes - a very groovy ukulele cover band.  Currently, she’s living the dream as Mellie/November/Madeline on Joss Whedon’s DOLLHOUSE.

the-cabonauts-james1 James C. Leary (Ep1 - Jake) James grew up in Dallas, Texas and first appeared on stage at the age of thirteen. From 1993-1995 he was a founding member of a improv comedy troupe called Freudian Slip. (He used the name Jimmy Leary during this time.) In December of 1995 he and his wife, Stacie, moved to Chicago, where Leary studied with both Second City and Improv Olympics. They now live in Los Angeles. From 1998-2001 he co-starred as Kevin, the live-in lover of Fernandito on Telemundo’s “Los Beltrán” (1999). In 2000 he played Mark in the Parallax Theater Company’s production of Robert Coover’s The Babysitter at McCadden Place Theater in Hollywood, and received rave reviews. James appeared as “Clem” on Buffy The Vampire Slayer from 2001-2003.

On screen she redefined America’s public’s image of the ideal woman as Colonel Deering in the feature film and TV series “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,” and then in the award winning TV Series “Silver Spoons”. In addition, Erin has co-starred in over 50 television movies and most recently starred in several Indie films. Erin is the founder of ‘Heroes for Hire,’ a company that represents artists for national and international personal appearances, and speaking engagements. She’s slipping into the role of casting director for The Cabonauts and calls it “thrilling to be a part of such a fun, creative and wacky enterprise”.

ashley-joyAshley Joy (Make Up) - California native, Ashley Joy Beck was born and raised in the entertainment industry. She discovered the professional world of make-up at a young age while running follow spot for her parent’s sound and lighting company at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show in Pasadena, CA for keynote speakers such as Rick Baker, Ronnie Specter and Ve Neil. In pursuit of a finely tuned artistic eye she earned a degree in Art, and then continued her studies at Make-Up Designory in Burbank, CA. She works as a freelance artist for NARS Cosmetics company and independently does make-up for film, webisodes, television, music videos, runway and photo shoots in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas.

kseff_photoKim Seff (Production Design) Kim Seff was born in Baltimore, Maryland.  Raised in a household of designers, she was exposed to the world of home remodeling and artistic expression from an early age.  She continued to expand her knowledge of design at Philadelphia University where she studied fashion, textile, & industrial design.  After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in industrial design she moved to Los Angeles where she focused on jewelry design, custom furniture design, residential interior design, and finally production design and art direction.  Experienced in many domains of the arts, Kimberly has a passion for creating visual and interactive experiences that communicate a message to an audience.  Whether she is designing a pool table, a kitchen, or a film set, Kim approaches every project from a problem-solving standpoint with her clients’ wants and needs at the forefront.  She is inspired by the use of sustainable materials and eco-friendly construction methods, turning a mere concept into something tangible and magnificent.

phildanielsPhil Daniels (Production Attorney) - Originally from Nottingham, England, Phil Daniels is an attorney who specializes in all matters relating to the entertainment industry.  Over the years, Phil has worked with some of the best-known talent in the music industry including Beyonce, Herbie Hancock, Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas, Queen, Depeche Mode and Spice Girls to name a few.  He has also represented some of the top name producers and mixers in the music industry negotiating and concluding a wide range of industry agreements.  In addition to his music expertise, Phil also works with digital media clients and film studios, having recently acted as Sony’s production attorney on the forthcoming Ang Lee movie, “Taking Woodstock“.  Phil is excited to bring his experience to “The Cabonauts” and proudly calls himself the “Defender and Protector of the Evil Global jewels”.  He currently resides in Los Angeles, and is the founder of his own entertainment law firm.
