Just saw some news over at Den Of Geek that says a movie based on Gerry Anderson’s UFO tv series of the 70′s is coming our way. It was announced at Cannes a few weeks ago. I don’t know who remembers it but it had brilliant theme music and had video of girls in purple wigs and blokes in stringy vests diving into submarines and moon bases and alien ships – and then interspersed amongst all that was a shot of the futuristic year it was set in… 1980. Makes me laugh every time, which is a shame ’cause the music’s so damn good. I think it’s a tie for me which 70′s theme music was the best – UFO or The New Avengers. What’s yours?
